Welcome to the website for the Evolution and Vector Ecology (EVE) lab, led by Sinead English, in the Institution of Organismic and Molecular Evolutionary Biology at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. We combine modelling, comparative and empirical approaches to investigate questions such as why some species give birth to live young, and the consequences of extreme maternal investment for evolutionary and population processes.
